My preschool students from Chicago are four years old, and for some this is their first time entering a classroom. It can be challenging for them to separate from family for the first time. But, when they get in the classroom and see all of the fun toys, games, and books available for them to explore they can really open up.
Preschoolers are energetic, and full of questions and ideas.
Many of them love to build their ideas using blocks, LEGOS, recycled materials, or paper and pencil.
Using the LEGO Education STEAM packs students will be able to follow visual directions to build structures that move. I will be able to use the sets in small group or whole group instruction to work with students on a variety of skills. The sets will also be available to use during centers for students own imaginative play.
These LEGOS will help them build the following skills: fine motor, sensory motor skills, computational thinking, cognitive flexibility, visual perception, spatial visualization, and imagination.
These are just a few of the skills that these STEAM packs can help my students build
Please help me give my students access to these fantastic materials that can help them learn and grow in so many ways!
