I have two amazing groups of kindergarten students in my morning and afternoon classes. They love learning, helping each other, and working together. Many of my students have experienced trauma in their lives. It is inspiring to watch them overcome the issues they have outside of the classroom and become excellent students.
I have a diverse group of learners.
Some of them came already reading. Others came not knowing the alphabet. I have students who started the year with little knowledge of English. They are not only becoming proficient in English, but they are also teaching their new friends word in their first language.
My students are extremely grateful for the things they are given. I love to give prizes and am always surprised by how many students will draw pictures for me to show thanks for their prizes. They also like to give each other special pictures and crafts that they make in our art center at school.
It is a joy to spend time with these amazing kids every day!
My Project
My students love creating, building, and solving problems. The art organization center will help us keep our STEAM supplies organized. The art easels will give students an easy way to plan and create art. The paint splash mat will make cleanup much easier!

The requested supplies will make our classroom an even better place for their learning and imaginations to grow. They are also learning how to collaborate, become leaders, and increase communication skills as they work together in our classroom STEAM center.
