Excellence + Learning + Values Equals Success! That is the motto of us ELVES. We are a very small rural, island school on Wadmalaw Island. We are in our third year of transitioning into a Montessori school! We now have three early childhood classes and two lower elementary classes. Our school strives for excellence academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our classroom is a mixture of first and second years, who have a love for learning!
Our family is made up of wonderful children with different interests, abilities, and goals. These wonderful children are the first Montessori group to go through our school. They are learning to be independent, kind, and peaceful in our everyday work.
Each day in Lower Elementary Montessori is a day of learning, and we love celebrating our little "wins" together every day!
My Project
Our Montessori school is an environment for exploration and learning. Our students love learning about weather, ecology, chemistry, and so much more! Montessori materials and card work help students to learn about science in an interesting way. We would like to have books to help introduce and support these concepts.
Help us provide opportunities for students to have quality literature to teach science to our little learners.
These books are part of a STEAM curriculum that wonderfully complements our Montessori curriculum. These books will not only provide an introduction to these concepts, but opportunities to build and create projects.
In this project, you will also see two books for our Peace Curriculum. These books teach our students about how other children live around the world.
Finally, you will see laminating pouches in this project. These will be used to laminate the wonderful Montessori card work, and ensure that it can be used by many students in the years to come!
