Our school is in a high poverty area of Southern Indiana, where the schools are the center of the town. Our schools utilize every resource available to ensure that students have what they need to succeed. We thrive in a 1:1 device classroom, and collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication are the center of every project we complete. The goal for each student is to enjoy learning.
My Project
The materials in this project will enhance our creative play time. Currently, I have very few STEAM sets in my classroom. Having taught primary grades in the past, I see the value in having these items in my classroom. I am eager to utilize these tools with my first grade students.
Students thrive in environments where they can collaborate, communicate, create, and critically think.
These items will help my students cultivate all of these skills in our classroom.
