My Students
As an educator in an urban, high-poverty district, funding and opportunities for my scholars are limited. Although they face challenges each day, both in and out of the classroom, I see their potential and will do whatever it takes to inspire, teach, and help my students thrive.
My scholars are creative, hopeful, and deserve only the very best education and experiences.
Many students in my classroom want to learn and are working towards a better "them" each and every day. We work on academics, but also engage in social and emotional learning, as well as life skills and interactions. I am passionate about watching my kids succeed and work tirelessly day in and out to give them the confidence and knowledge they need to become the best version of themselves.
I know that with DonorsChoose.org, I will be able to continue to make our classroom a learning oasis.
My Project
These STEAM activities will help my scholars have the opportunities to build, learn, and grow in creative ways. STEAM careers are the future and I want to make sure my students are equipped with skills and learning experiences to set them up for success.
Science, technology, engineering, art, and math are important components of building strong leaders of tomorrow.
I want to give my students exciting, engaging activities to facilitate hands-on learning and promote careers in a variety of domains. MY students deserve the very best and I don't want them to miss out on the same opportunities as their peers because they are in an urban, high poverty area.
