My students are all enrolled in the Special Education Intensive Support program, with a focus on emotional disabilities. I have 15 students grades 5-8 who struggles with areas such as self-esteem, building and maintaining relationships with others, controlling their impulses, regulating and managing their emotions. My students have a wide range of creative and productive outlets ranging from athletics to writing and art, to construction. My students thrive with projects that produce tangible outcomes or products. Working to solve problems or create pieces helps to build their self esteem.
Keva planks will be a great addition to our classroom that is full of hand on learners. They will be a great addition to our lessons on structures, geometry, and the building challenges my students love so much. With open-ended play and learning, my students will get to explore science, art, and mathematical concepts in a hands on way.
Sphero app-controlled robotic balls will be a great addition to my coding minded students who love computers and programming.
Seeing how their imagination and skills can be tested through the Sphero balls will delight and encourage their interests while giving them hands on experience and practice.
