This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My tenthgrade English students are all recent immigrants who are learning English as their second, third, or even fourth language. My students are from more than 20 countries and speak more than six different languages.

My students are amazing recent immigrants who work part-time jobs, take care of family members, play sports, and attend our after-school programs.

My students travel from all neighborhoods of the city to pursue their dreams and achieve their postsecondary goals.

My Project

As winter arrives in Boston, it is important for my students to have healthy snacks and warm clothes for the winter weather. This project includes boxes of snacks, winter hats, and warm fashionable sweatpants.

Most of my students have to wait outside to take a bus, subway, or commuter rail during their commutes to school.

This donation of clothing and food will keep them healthy and warm as they wait. With the rising prices of food and materials for families in the United States, this donation is even more important.
