Staying Safe and Healthy Is Our Goal

My Students

What I love about my students is everything! We are in a county with the highest number of families considered to be in poverty. Yet, these students come to school with hope. They come to school with a light inside them eager to learn. They are each a different little human, a different little soul, with different needs.

They have so many barriers, traumas, diagnoses, and now, COVID.

My Project

These materials in this project will help create health and wellness kits for students. We have chosen the basic necessities to help students be healthy and clean.

Being clean is also being mentally healthy.

In this project, we are asking for travel size, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and soap. As well as feminine hygiene products.

Teaching students how to care for their bodies is a great way to help them be healthy physically and mentally. I teach hygiene lessons every year on how to care for our bodies and minds. It is amazing to give tangible items to which they can use after the lessons.
