My Students

My students this year are all rock stars! As a group, this is one of the nicest group of kids I've ever taught. They support each other, say kind words to each other, and celebrate each other's successes.

These students wrote, signed, and live a pledge to be respectful, responsible, resilient, and ready to learn.

These students engage in lively discussions, participate enthusiastically in activities, and continually challenge themselves to grow as learners. It is a joy to spend my days with them!

My Project

Science World Magazine keeps students up to date on current science news. With the subscription comes access to online links and activities for students to explore the news even further.

This magazine is a perfect way to tie all the subjects together, as well as, make science relevant to students' lives.

The articles are fun and engaging and spark deep and interesting discussions. In addition, the activities that come with the subscription are building on skills that support other subjects, including ELA, Math, and Social Studies.

Parents have told me that the students are excited to share at home what they learn from these magazines.
