My students need an agility ladder, travel cooler, and hydration options to prepare us for game days!

My student-athletes are hard-working and inspiring! Last year, we started a soccer club that turned into a full co-ed soccer team! I feel so blessed every day to be a small part of their educational and athletics journey. Even though they face many obstacles, they never let those challenges affect their work ethic or confidence. My student-athletes inspire me every day to be the best teacher/coach I can be because they deserve the best. The near south side of Indianapolis has some amazing attributes, but my students have also been exposed to some heart-breaking situations.
My student-athletes played hard every game and never gave up all season!
We have been fortunate enough to have received amazing donations from generous donors via DonorsChoose that allowed us to use our new soccer balls, goals, and equipment for both our soccer club and soccer team. It has been amazing to see the program grow but most importantly, it has been amazing to see our team show grit and sportsmanship during every practice and game!
My students will use the agility ladder year round as it will be available for our after-school soccer club! We have after-school clubs available three times a week. This agility ladder will help increase speed and will improve our footwork, which are two very important factors of the beginner soccer skill set. Having the travel cooler will allow us to stay hydrated while practicing outdoors three times a week! This will eliminate idle time for the student-athletes going from the practice field to the indoor school water fountain. We will also be taking this to our games, which we will begin in the spring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our student-athletes will benefit from Gatorade during game days as a method to replenish fluids during hot game temperatures! I know this project will fuel our season in the right direction!
