Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are hardworking, smart and fully capable of great successes. With the cold weather coming, they need supplies to help them from catching a cold and making their transition to school everyday a little easier. Many of our students walk to school, so we want to ensure attendance stays consistent even with the colder temperatures. They need to be able to perform their best and feel ready to start each day with enthusiasm and motivation. They need to feel comfortable coming to guidance and seek out any support that they may need.
My Project
My project is a way to help our students stay engaged this winter. With the cleaning supplies (Purell, Lysol wipes, air purifier) we are hoping to keep our offices clean and welcome all students comfortably into them. With the outdoor protection (umbrellas, winter hats, winter gloves), we are hoping that our students who walk far distances to come to school will be slightly more comfortable for them. We know that the winter can be a tough time, and we are looking to be proactive to keep our students healthy and on track with what really matters this winter, them staying in school and staying engaged. We have ordered a package of snacks to provide our students who may have missed our breakfast! Thank you so much for your support!
