"We are superstars!" We love to learn and are excited to be able to "wiggle our waggles out" in our wobble chairs! Our school is an inner-city school and many children do not get enough opportunities to move their bodies. I would love to be able to use these seats and additional reading and writing aids during classroom instruction to help with their focus and build their skills.
I have 27 students right now including additional students that come in for inclusion for part of the day.
My students come from varied backgrounds in an inner city school setting, many from low-income homes. I also have a heavy ELL population, as well as students with special needs. I look forward to using many new tools to help all the students access their curriculum.
I love the variety of children and abilities that come in my room every year. I would love to be able to provide them with all the tools they need to help them become successful learners.
My Project
Wobble seats and seat cushions will give my Kindergarteners a chance to keep their focus on learning. Many students don't get enough chance to move, so these will allow them to move while they are learning. The pencil grips will help those students who need a little extra support when they are writing, and the beginning reader trackers are another tool to help them focus on what they are trying to read.
Kindergarten is a perfect time to learn and grow, please help my students access what they need to learn to read and write.
I am looking forward to seeing their excited faces as they succeed with their new learning tools.
