My Students

I teach second students at an inner-city school. The school district is located in the heart of Camden in an underprivileged area. Since it is an area with high poverty rates, many of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Although every day they are faced with many challenges both in and out of their homes, they come to school eager to learn. These kids face many difficulties, including taking responsibilities beyond their ages, yet when they arrive at school, they are just like any kid, filled with a passion to learn more about the world.

My Project

I am requesting 26 seat sacks to organize and house the students daily materials. Organization is a vital part of a classroom. In order for my students to be organized and have plenty of time for instructional time I want to provide them with seat sacks. As a first year teacher I have limited resources to provide my students with. These seat sacks would be a great tool in giving them a safe place to keep their materials. Rather than losing time during instruction to get up and get materials for the lesson, students will be able to stay engaged and focused. The students in my classroom would benefit very much from having seat sacks to keep them ready at all times!

Donations to this project will improve my classroom tremendously.

My students deserve a place that they feel comfortable and know where all of their materials are at all times. Seat sacks will provide them with the proper amount of time during instruction and keep them actively engaged during lessons! I want to make sure I offer my students the most academic time as I can to help them improve and grow.
