Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are really turned upside down by the Coronavirus and the resulting school closure! Being a functional special education classroom, we typically do a lot of hands-on work, such as cooking, laundry, growing plants, and running a coffee shop for the teachers in our school. Many students have limited materials at home, which makes distance learning challenging.
My Project
I think these basic classroom style supplies will help my students stay involved in their distance learning. Many of my students need hands-on experiences and hands-on materials to make their learning a success. The money and the clocks will be helpful in this way.
My students and their families have been trying hard to connect with me through online learning.
These materials, such as the mini white boards and dry erase markers will make our interactions more meaningful. Students can read and write and draw while I am communicating with them through their phones or devices.
