My Students

Expectations are high, yet we reach them!

Many students walk or get dropped off. Although we are located in the middle of a neighborhood and are one of the last "neighborhood schools" left, our students are still living in poverty.

My students LOVE to create new things all year long! Many kiddos come to school without the supplies they need to be successful and are having to borrow from friends.

My Project

This project for students will give them access to current events while they practice their literacy. It will provide them with additional science and social studies knowledge.

It is fun and captivating to learn about the world around you.

This is why I've chosen to do so for my students in a fun, and friendly format just for kids! These magazine issues are made with second graders in mind and teach them about things they would be interested in.

The magazines my students receive will take them to faraway lands that are not right outside their backdoor. After using them to study in the classroom, students will then be able to keep them, take them home, and share with their families!
