Help me give my students props such as a variety of hats (derby, top hat, pirate hat, cowboy hat, chef hat, etc.) acts of prop money to enhance my video lessons from home.
I have fantastic students. However, with no notice, we were thrown a wild curve ball. My students are learning from home on a wide variety of Internet capable devices, and I am teaching lessons from a small corner in my basement.
This project will allow my to make my lessons engaging and interesting again.
This project will equip me with a variety of props and special effects.
My Project
A variety of prop hats(pirate, chef, derby, cowboy, sleuth, gladiator, etc.) and fake stacks of money may not sound like necessities in a classroom. However, now that my classroom is a corner in my basement, they are. With this project, even though I am preparing lessons from home, that doesn’t mean I can’t include these props as I teach about discounts from a sales rack in the local supermarket, or about sales tax from a gas pump. I can teach about slopes from Aspen, Colorado, and about distances from a pirate ship. Dressing up while I video my lessons in front of a green screen will definitely keep my students attention. The possibilities are endless.
