How wrong was I about my students! I spent my first year and a half of teaching trying to put my students into nice neat "boxes." I wanted everybody and everything to have a clear cut category to fit into.
My students taught me that their minds and imaginations cannot fit into a "box!" My students love to learn, create, and explore.
They each have their own way of learning and expressing themselves. I have learned to adapt to accommodate how they learn. It is about me reaching them, not them reaching me. I have learned that my students fit into one category: My Students.
My Project
Learning is a precious opportunity given to each student. However, a student cannot learn and be successful if they are not focused in class or if they are not in class. A lack of focus can come from not feeling well. Being absent is typically due to being sick.
A clean room is a necessary component to have in order to keep everyone healthy.
My students love being at school and they have shown great growth so far this year. However, a runny nose is more distracting that one may think. Keeping our classroom clean and having kleenex on hand will help my students stay healthy. Being healthy will keep my students coming to school and focused in class.
