My Students

My students are excited to explore new stories and topics together. I have a wide variety of students with diverse backgrounds and interests. I have students that qualify for free and reduced lunch, English Language Learners, students who come from broken homes, and students who have involved parents.

My Project

My current class set of "The Outsiders" is in bad shape. These books will continue to provide my students with a highly engaging and relatable novel to kick off their seventh grade year.

Many of my students are reluctant readers, but they always enjoy the timeless and relevant story of "The Outsiders".

We are able to analyze literary elements through this compelling coming of age story of Ponyboy and his gang of friends. Students are also able to reflect on their personal identity, and how society and culture can impact one's sense of self.

I would greatly appreciate any donation you could make so that I can continue to hook my students at the beginning of the year with this cherished classic.
