My school in East Texas serves a large number of students living in poverty. Each day my students face challenges outside the classroom that make focusing on learning more difficult. My goal is to give my students everything they need to flourish and become lifelong learners.
My students are full of energy and love to be on the move as they learn!
Each one of them comes to school each day with a thirst for knowledge; they are eager to learn.
My Project
Help me start off next school year on the right foot by funding my project! I am confident that the items I have requested, such as the colorful owls, cool swirls border, cupcake cutouts, and color learning chart will make my classroom a warm and inviting place for the next group of kindergartners that I have the pleasure of teaching. The math stations I have requested, the numbers and counting maps and Sum Swamp, will help my students build number sense; the foundation they will need for all other math skills. The dazzlin dough and crafty dab paint will be used in work stations to make learning feel more like child's play. After all, students tend to learn more when they are having fun and don't even know they are learning. I am also asking for glitter because no kindergarten classroom is complete without it!
