I have the honor of teaching 19 fun-loving, silly first graders. Many of my students come from low-income homes but come to school eager to learn. These sweet kids crave learning new things. I want to provide these students with the tools they need to learn and master the concepts of first grade.
I want my students to come into a warm welcoming atmosphere where they have the ability to learn and grow.
Providing us with the supplies we need to make this a great year will help them become lifelong learners.
My Project
Do you remember being in first grade and how proud that you were of the things that you learned? My students are equally excited to learn, but they need these engaging and interactive centers to bring these concepts to life.
Our class loves and thrives during station time.
My students need to cover a lot of ground this year and these items will help them grow! As you know, in first grade, kids need to move and explore so worksheet based approaches aren't very effective all the time. My students need lots of literacy practice and motor skill projects. I want my students to be active leaders and centers encourage these behaviors because they cause students to interact with each other, promoting good communication skills.
