This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my classroom come from different income and background levels. Some students have never experienced hands on materials that are fun that have the ability to help them learn and gain knowledge in motor skills and academic skills. These materials will help make a difference by giving me the ability to implement more on hands on stations versus paper printed stations. For example, the Tactile Alphabet Match-Up will help children be able to not only identify what pictures match the letter name and sound but it's having them work on hand eye coordination. This is the same with the Tweezer Tongs Color Sorting Kit, these are very beneficial in their development of pencil grips and more. I also included some flexible seating options which are the Balance Ball Seats to help increase engagement and offer a fun option other than their regular seating to offer something different.
