Our 4th grade crew consists of 24 incredible learners from a variety of backgrounds. They are working on becoming active learners and exploring new learning. Some travel over an hour to come to school every day.
Our class is one of seven 4th grade classrooms that does not have adequate seating and tables for work spaces.
Every classroom wants to give their students active, tactical learning experiences, but are hard-pressed to find or purchase resources. Our 4th grade crew is special because, despite of a lack of resources, they still explore and learn as much as they can.
My Project
Traditional seating in classrooms is becoming a thing of the past, yet students still need seats to sit! However, when working in a rural school, the majority of costs for new classroom furniture falls on the teacher.
30 Classroom Select Contemporary Chairs have been chosen because of their comfort and mobility.
The majority of the chairs we have now are old, heavy, and broken. This restricts student learning to their desks, where some of the chairs are even too heavy and broken to push in. This would be a fantastic donation to our classroom this year and many years to come!
