This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The majority of our students come from low-income households where many of our youth come to school with an empty stomach and return home with no food on their table. Our students need healthy snacks to remain focused throughout the day even after school. Healthy snacks like these snacks will ensure students will be successful in the classroom because they will have the necessary elements to fulfill the brain. The crackers, fruit snacks, and granola bars will give the students a great variety to choose from.
Students come to school to learn, and these healthy snacks will ensure they will be focused and ready to learn.
These snacks will make sure the students can think effectively. They will learn to know that their stomachs are full and be able to concentrate instead of thinking when will be the next meal. Snacks help students focus on what they need to in the classroom. We often send home snacks so that students have food when they get home!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
