Ms. C from Trenton NJ is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need general school supplies in order to participate and be successful in class. They need basic supplies like binders, notebooks, pens, Post-its, Expo markers, and hygiene products.

I teach elementary students (English Language Learners) in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with many challenges such as limited school supplies, trauma, and hardship. Even with the challenges they face both in and out of school. My students walk into our classroom happy and eager to learn each day. My students are creative and clever. I want my students enjoy learning English through interactive technology. Interactive technology increases engagement with students and helps create a dynamic learning environment.
Students come into class with different backgrounds, abilities, and reading levels, and I rely on these tools and supplies to make sure they are all set up equally and organized for the year. I need a variety of supplies to engage and motivate my students to succeed. They will use these folders and notebooks for English interactive activities throughout the year, and items like pens, pencils, highlighters, sharpies, expo markers, correction tape, notebooks, post-its, paper clips, pencil sharpener, stapler, scissors and colored paper will help bring these lessons to life. In order to keep our classroom fresh and clean, we will also need supplies like tissues, disinfectant wipes, air, and hand sanitizer.
