My Students
All of my students are English Language Learners and some are still struggling to learn very basic English. Others know very limited English, but we refuse to let that make a negative impact on our learning. We can not and will not limit ourselves this year! Many of my kids have been in the country for a little under two years and are still struggling to adapt to school and develop their English language. Our entire school is made up of seventy percent of Hispanic students, and on a daily basis, we are attempting to find various ways to offer them the very best education with the limited supplies we are given. My students come in every day with the biggest smiles on their faces despite the language barrier that separates them from some of their other schoolmates.
My Project
The supplies I am requesting will come in handy beginning the very first day of school. Many of our students cannot afford the basic school supplies needed for a successful school year. Crayons, water paint, notebooks and even pencil cases are just some of the supplies that are in high demand every year in my classroom. Throughout the year, we tend to run out of glue sticks, pencils, and dry erase markers as well. In an effort to make sure each child has the same materials, I created this project.
By supporting this project, you will help supply extra materials for those students in need.
