Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember the beginning of the school year? Part of the fun was shopping for school supplies and getting that new box of crayons. Starting the year off with brand new pencils, crayons, and glue makes kindergarten students feel special. You can help to provide these necessary supplies.
My kindergarten students are eager to learn and excited to be in school.
Our inner city building is over 100 years old and all our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our city, like many others, has had to make many cuts and school supplies are limited. In order for students to have the basic school supplies needed, I have to provide most of them.
My Project
Supplies such as crayons, glue, and markers are not high-tech and may sound like little things. But they are so important in the learning experiences of kindergarten students. Markers, crayons, and construction paper allow them to create and imagine and inspire them. And we go through so many crayons and so much glue!
Your donation will not only enable my brand new kindergarten students to start the year off with the necessary supplies, but it will also make them feel special to have all these new things just for them.
