My students need a variety of materials to enrich their transition to Kindergarten. Such things as Building Brick STEM Challenge, The Butterfly Nursery, Math Game Libraries, Sensory Dough, and Sight Word Puzzles will make learning fun.
Do you remember your Kindergarten class? Kindergarteners are inquisitive and curious, ready to tackle the problems of the world. They are eager to learn new things and full of pride when they accomplish something.
My students are a wonderfully diverse, enthusiastic group of kids.
Students in my school represent a myriad of cultures, from many different backgrounds. We are proud the be a melting pot of diversity. We are at a Title One school, meaning that a majority of students are economically disadvantaged.
My Project
My project is a combination of teacher resources, such as a laminating machine, teaching easel, and magnetic pocket chart, as well as a variety of student materials chosen to make learning fun for Kindergarten students.
Kindergarten students will have fun learning with magnetic letters, STEM building blocks, molding clay, sight word games, math games, and a butterfly pavilion.
With so much to learn, and a short attention span, Kindergarten students need to be motivated and engaged in a variety of learning activities. As a veteran teacher new to teaching this special grade, such materials will help me to start the year off right.
