Starting Over - Kleen Slates for English Language Leaners
Help me give my students, English language learners, whiteboard paddles for another way to communicate, show understanding and have fun while they're at it.
Our population of English Language Learners (ELL's) has grown. They are working hard to make a new life in a new country. The kids are excited to be in school, to learn English, get an education, and make their families proud.
My Project
Imagine learning a new language in a new country. It's hard, but even harder when you have to wear a mask, another obstacle when you're trying to start over with a clean slate.
You can help give English Language Learners an actual Kleen Slate - a tool that will help them communicate in their classes.
Students will use the paddles to show understanding of lessons in their classes - especially core subjects of math, English, history and science. Students will practice their writing skills and teachers can give immediate feedback. These paddles will be a great tool for students who have a lot of hurdles in front of them.
