This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This will be my first year teaching! While I do not know my scholars yet, I know they deserve the best learning resources I can provide. I will do the best to my ability to make sure they have everything they need to learn in our classroom. I am so excited to instill in my scholars a love for learning and watching those lightbulbs go off everyday! I can not wait to kick off my teaching career and my scholars’ educational careers this upcoming school year.
My Project
Not only will these materials enrich my scholars learning, they will create an efficient and effective classroom. As this is my first year of teaching and my kinders first year in their educational careers, it is crucial we have the tools we need to thrive in the classroom. Not only will the classroom doorbell help with classroom management, but the stools, whiteboard, and rug will support an interactive classroom that I strive to adopt.
Specifically, the magnetic whiteboard will work with my projector and Mimio and have my scholars working with the concepts we will be exploring themselves, rather than me just lecturing to them (which we all know WOULD NOT work with a class full of kinders).
Honestly, words can not explain how much having these materials would mean to me. I have a strong passion for teaching, and I know these materials will only help in our journey of learning.
