My Project

My program is a new program at my school and we are starting fresh, especially coming out of a pandemic. The classroom that I teach is for students with emotional disabilities. The goal of the Emotional Disability Program is to help students identify and learn how to regulate their own emotions.

The classroom uses social-emotional learning skills for helping students with the ultimate goal of mainstreaming them back to a general education classroom.

Social skills, social stories, group, and one-on-one discussions are used to accomplish this goal. The wish list items such as the fidgets and books are all things that my classroom needs to continue to help my students grow.
