Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are kindergarten students from an urban setting. My school is a non-profit and I spend a lot of money out of pocket every year to make sure we have what we need. These students have never been in school before and need an adjustmemt period. These materials will make that easier. A lot of the families struggle to contribute to classroom supplies and appreciate that their children still have these things at the beginning of the school year.

My Project

I am moving from a charter school downtown to Benesch this school year. I am excited to make this move and make a difference in these students lives and education. These pretzels, crackers, lysol, and dry erase markers will help make the beginning of the school year easier and make the beginning of the school year so much smoother. We need these supplies to keep our room and selves germ free and also so we can write and also snacks to get the kids through the long days and these snacks will do just that. I appreciate all your help and support and know my future students will too.
