Engaged learners become lifelong scholars. When students are engaged in the classroom, lessons stick with them. I want to provide memories for my students that will last a lifetime and make learning meaningful and fun.

I plan to transform our room into a racetrack where students are practicing science concepts and honing financial literacy skills through games and activities they will never forget. They will enter a room that is exploding with checkered flags, orange cones, racing decorations, and larger-than-life tires. They will experiment with Matchbox cars to explore force and motion. They will then have the opportunity to practice valuable reading skills by collaborating with peers and playing games that I have augmented using giant football themed games. What a surprise it will be for them to enter and play games like The Economics Football Tossing and Reading Football Challenge. Does playing sports games to practice sequencing and inferencing sound fun? The decorations and supplies I'm requesting will allow me to transform the classroom and make science and reading time seem like a learning party. We will turn passing and catching footballs into an amazing review game surrounded by sports banners and prizes for all. They will have lasting memories using a photo background while they play, compete, and learn. The best part is that we will get to use these transformations multiple times to motivate students and bring some magic throughout the year.
