The students at my school are craving for fun, innovative materials that spark their interest in learning. They are curious, 8-10-year-olds who are still excited to learn new things.
For many of my students, school is their outlet; it is a safe place where they can come every day, not just to learn but also to eat, be themselves, and to be cared for by adults.
I adore teaching my students and watching them blossom into creative beings.
My Project
Children love to play and be creative. They need time and plenty of resources to problem solve, collaborate with others and build with their hands. In the past, morning work at schools has been worksheets. I want to do something different!
By providing my students with STEM Bins for morning work, students can take simple resources, such as Popsicle sticks, Legos, or Play-Doh to create something new.
Children need time to explore and play, not just independently, but also with others. This helps children to problem solve and learn to work with other individuals. STEM Bins will give my students the opportunity to not only be creative but also kick start their brains for a full day of learning!
