This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a kindergarten grade teacher in North Carolina, I see my students come in eager to learn every day. Most of my students are either at poverty level or below which brings challenges into the classroom.

All my students want to learn about the world around them.

They are so curious to learn about new ideas and experiences. It's my job to give them the desire to be lifelong learners. I want my students to be successful, but sometimes we don't have all the resources that the children need.

My Project

Kindergarten is an exciting year. You are just learning the routines and the basics of school. We need pencils that can be held by these novice writers as they learn to form letters. We can use the special paper so they learn what line to write on. Where you start for upper and lower case letters. We are in a trailer this year with no bathroom or running water. Our class needs wipes to keep little hands clean and germ free. Several of our kindergarten projects will require extra clean up which will be a challenge with no water. These wipes will help us clean up quickly from any project we are working on.
