Can you ever remember a time your teacher did something or gave you something special?
I teach 4th grade in a Title I school in Oklahoma.
58% of our students are on free and reduced lunches. I have several special needs students (one-visually impaired, autistic, and several learning disabled) who would benefit from these materials. I would have to say that I have the best class ever!
My Project
I have taught for 3 years and I am still working on supplying the items I need for my classroom. It is always a struggle to continue to purchase all the materials needed for my classroom.
I love seeing how excited my students get when they work hard or do something good without being told and I recognize good behavior with a pencil. I also like helping my students develop good study habits by teaching them the importance of having flashcards on a ring-it to study. My class is also in need of storage containers for our classroom library. My students also like cool ways to keep track of their reading with reading logs.
With your help you will make it possible for my students to have fun while learning their 4th grade vocabulary and math facts.
With your help my students will be able to have special pencils, reading logs, flashcards, and organization in their classroom. I try to teach my students sometimes it is the little things that count.
