I teach a class of 25 amazing kindergarten students who are eager to learn, yet many of them have limited opportunities and resources at home.
Each of them is incredibly unique, yet all of them are equally wonderful. They work very hard and are so appreciative of even the smallest things. Like all children, they deserve the very best. Many of my students come from low-income backgrounds and are limited in their experiences and knowledge. My goal is for my students' first year in school to be successful, memorable and fun! I want to be able to provide these incredible children with amazing resources and opportunities, but I cannot do it alone. This is why I reach out to you, the gracious donors of Donors Choose
My Project
I would like to provide my students with a strong foundation in STEM education. The Magnetic Building Blocks, EMIDO Building Bars, Playground Design Set, Squigz, etc., will allow my students to work collaboratively and build upon their imaginations, creativity and engineering skills. My students will benefit greatly from exploring, planning, building and creating masterfully engineered creations!
A variety of building and engineering materials will provide my students with engaging, hands-on STEM activities.
Kindergarten students are naturally inquisitive and love to explore. They have repeatedly asked me to purchase building "toys", specifically Magnetic Building Blocks and Magnetic Tiles for their Engineering Station. At this time, the resources for building and creating are limited. Exploring with STEM materials will be a fantastic opportunity for my students to collaborate with peers, engage in rich student driven discussions, and promote: creativity, engineering, spatial reasoning, problem solving, visualization, and much more!
