Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come to school excited to learn. For many of them, this is their first time in school, and for most of them, it is their first time learning to speak in Spanish! This project will help my students gain self-confidence by speaking to their peers in front of class about their name, age, favorite food, color, and toy.

Each day, a new star student will be chosen, and they will have the opportunity to share about themself with the class.

The class will ask the star student basic questions in Spanish, and the student will answer using a complete sentence. After reviewing the information, each student will make a page for the star student to take home in their special book. The colored paper and stickers will be used to make each page special for the star student.
