Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are a kinesthetic group.
They are very lively and need breaks throughout their day. They also benefit from alternate seating arrangements to regulate their bodies. My students attend an elementary school in an inner city and reside in a culturally diverse community.
My Project
The classroom set-up will be able to physically change with our room divider. The room divider will enable my students to work with minimal distractions. They will also have a quiet space to transition to when they need a break. The soft ground-level seat will help them get comfortable during our Daily 5 instruction time. My students can also use our soothing station to read, work on math and for their independent choice time too.
The donations received from this project will enhance the flow of furniture in our classroom.
Delineated sections will be created, thereby enabling my students to focus on learning with minimal distractions. My students will have a choice on where they'd like to work in the classroom that will also serve to maximize their learning. They will be able to work quietly in our soothing station or just have a relaxing break.
