My Students

My students are all excited about being in 5th grade and the leaders of our school. They are developing social skills as their peers become more important to them. They are learning to work well together and respect each other, even in disagreements. They are cooperative with me, and we have fun with each other.

My fifth graders love to show what they know!

They love collaborating in small groups and presenting their achievements to their peers. They appreciate each other's creativity and efforts, and they are always respectful when sharing projects.

My Project

Our fifth grade team decided to incorporate some film into our curriculum. Our students focus a lot on Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies. Although the students love learning those topics, we wanted to add some extracurricular experiences to make learning more fun. We have a Film Festival at our school. We teach stop motion film basics and then let them use creativity and problem solving skills to make their stories come to life. This year we are needing iPad stands to help the students create their masterpieces. We are hoping to receive enough stands so all fifth grade students can work in groups of 3.
