My students are a diverse community of learners. They come from many different countries, demographics, and socio-economic backgrounds an participate in the band program with a love and passion for music.
Our band program serves all students regardless of their ability to pay for an instrument or materials.
These talented students are members of a band program that consistently receives accolades in the community and state for its musical excellence: Our bands have been invited to all-state conferences and the Superstate Festival many times in the past 26 years.
An increasing number of my students are unable to rent or purchase any type of an instrument or accompanying accessories. These students deserve the same opportunity to play with quality reeds and ligatures as well as using nice music stands. They deserve every chance to be successful in instrumental music.
My students take pride in a room that allows them to come in, sit down, and rehearse with out searching for a music stand that works. We are utilizing our sectional room for more class space next year and my students need all the time I can give them to learn and having enough stands for both areas would give them more time to learn..
I'm excited about the possibility of having new stands that will help upgrade our current music stand supply.
