My Students

A big Band Room is a great advantage, acoustically. Our high school has the largest Band Room in the district. Unfortunately, all that space often means that equipment management can be a hassle! Let's get a rolling cart to corral the stands and keep pathways clear!

Our school is blessed by an incredibly diverse student body in a vibrant urban center.

While our diversity strengthens our character and broadens our horizons as a group, it often means that many families cannot contribute financially to our school and programs in a way that matches their children's needs. Our school is currently 70% African-American, 15% White, 10% Hispanic; and 75% receive free lunch.

My Project

A proper place to put music stands creates a routine for cleaning up, introducing more opportunities to practice responsibility every day. A mobile music stand rack means no more hand-carrying all our music stands from floor to floor, from one end of the building to the other for performances. A time saver, a safety feature, and a really useful piece of equipment that every Band Program needs!
