My students need a strong learning environment that supports the many different needs of each student. We are requesting two Alphabetter Stand-Up Desks for this variety.
My students are enthusiastic, fun children who demonstrate a passion for learning. The first few weeks of school are all about building community and getting to know one another. On the first day of school, I will be welcoming a brand new group of diverse second graders as they enter the door. Each smiling face will walk in with a different learning style and set of skills. It is my job to include them in their educational journey. We will work together to identify each student's learning ability. We will build upon their skill sets and celebrate the new learning we discover.
I love introducing new routines and watching my new students take ownership of our classroom.
The beginning of school is such an exciting time for building relationships and creating a classroom climate that welcomes creativity, diversity, friendship, and learning.

My students need a strong learning environment that supports the many different needs of each student. We are requesting two Alphabetter Stand-Up Desks for this variety. This year, I want to offer flexible seating to my students. I believe that flexible seating will provide my students with daily opportunities for choice, comfort, movement, and collaboration. Each of these factors are crucial to student learning and achievement.
I believe that by offering different choices for seating, my students will be able to find the spot that helps them best focus, collaborate, and learn.
My second graders are busy and energetic. They want to learn, but sometimes feel confined and have difficulty sitting in a desk. Standing desks offer movement. I truly believe this will support these active learners in the classroom.
