My students come from a town with the population of 250.
These small town children and their families have a lot of pride in our school.
There are seven boys and nine girls in my second-grade classroom.
I have several students that like to wiggle and move, making it hard to learn in a confinement of the desks and chairs My students have a wide range of academic ability but they all always give their best. This is why I want to work so hard to get them this stand up desk!
I am thankful for our small community and the love they have for our classrooms. Together we work hard to get our students everything they need!
My Project
This stand-up desk would make a world of difference and give my students the need to wiggle in a great work space. Studies have shown tremendous benefits to standing while working, especially for students who struggle with attention.
Funding on this project would make a huge difference in our classroom on a daily basis.
By allowing my students to stand at different times of the day, they will be able to learn to their greatest potential. They would then be the creative hard-working students that I know they are. This stand-up desk would impact their learning in all subject areas including math, science, literacy, and social studies. My students would be so excited to have an additional high quality stand-up workspace!
