My 3rd grade students are part of a wonderful Two Way-Dual Language Program in which they learn academic content in Spanish and English. They are highly motivated to learn and be proficient readers and writes in both languages. They are developing an appreciation for bilingualism and cultural understanding.
My Project
My students learn best when they have options in the learning environment. Some like to stand while working at their desk, others seat or a combination of both. Students like having the flexibility while working.
Standing desks provides flexibility while working and supports students staying focus and on task.
Students who need a break from seating can easily transition to a standing desk and can continue learning. The desk also provides a space for engagement with others, and supports better posture. Students who are always on the go benefit from the flexibility of movement and in turns behavior also improves.
