Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love inspiring my students to be all that they can be. My students are 6th graders that live in (or around) East Saint Paul, Minnesota. They love to take in all of the knowledge that they can in my Math classroom. My goal is to give each learner useful tools and materials that help them make their learning their own.

Many of my students benefit from learning activities that involve moving around the room.

This requires my classroom to have flexible seating and tools that allow students to learn anywhere in the room. My students also have benefited from colorful learning tools that bring the Math concepts we are learning to life.

Students in my classroom come every day ready to learn. They are innovative, curious, and love to use technology to expand their learning.

My Project

My students are curious, innovative, active and ready to learn. With this flexible seating option, my students will be able to move to a position where they can learn best. I currently have many students who stand and use the wall as a surface to work on.

I am asking for this desk because my students are in need of a space that works for them in the classroom.

I am currently able to offer group tables, an individual seat, and I allow students who need their own space to use my desk. With the addition of a variety of flexible seating, I will be able to offer students a place to learn that works best for each students' learning type.
