I teach an amazing group of 5th graders! We have tons of fun learning through hands on activities and real world scenarios. My students love to learn and that makes my job easy! Our class is diverse and we do a great job of including everyone everyday. We love reading together, peer editing each other's stories, and working together in small groups to figure out challenging math problems.
We are truly a family and I know that these students will remember 5th grade for years to come.
As a teacher, I hold my students to their highest potential as learners. I love that my students feel empowered to learn more about the world around them. Their everyday questions guide where our learning goes and this has created a wonderful environment for all types of learners.
My Project
These standing desks will help my students learn! We have round tables that seat 4 and sometimes these can be distracting. Standing desks not only give these students their own space to work, but it also gives these students a chance to stand while they learn. I'm constantly reflecting on how I can enhance the learning environment for my students.
Flexible seating options give students a chance to take charge of how they learn.
Choice is so important when it comes to education and my students would truly benefit from having a choice in where they learn. These desks would be such an amazing addition to our classroom.
