This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This desk will be a great addition to my classroom set up for both me and the students! Not only will this standing desk allow a more ergonomic way to use my desk while working with students and mirroring to our Promethean board, it will also be a super fun reward for students to work for!

This standing desk is adjustable, which means that I will be able to do paperwork and what not, but it can also be lowered to be at a child's height!

My speech kiddos work to earn an "eagle buck" after each session. With this desk, I will allow them the opportunity to spend a set number of their eagle bucks to work at the teacher's desk for a day. Kids just love earning rewards like this (i.e. using the teacher's chair for day). It is a reward that is highly motivating for them and also doesn't cost me or the school anything additional.
