Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Remember sitting at school fidgeting and staring out the window, wondering when recess would come? Research has shown that standing up while working or learning actually makes us more productive. Let's learn more!
My students are creative, outside of the box thinkers at a school that values innovation.
We have different places for the students to sit, especially since I have many students with ADHD and Autism. My students need a variety of places and ways to learn.
My Project
My classroom has many different places to sit, like a couch, a chair, the floor and bean bags. However, we don't have any place where a student can stand and learn. Of course, a student could just stand, but they can't write, take take notes, or create while standing. We don't have any tall tables. These tall desks will allow my students to learn and create in a way that may be better for them. Not only does it allow them to stand, but it has a foot rest that moves, which will allow them to keep focused on tasks.
These desks will make a difference for my students that have ADHD, Autism, or just have difficulty sitting for long periods of time.
My students will be able to be more productive and learn better.
