My Project

Music stands are one of the most important items in the band room and are used multiple times a day in almost every single class. Not only do they hold our lesson books and sheet music during a rehearsal, but we also use them when we take tests and complete worksheets. Nothing is more frustrating than a music stand that is so worn down it can't hold up a single piece of music.

At the start of each class, there is a mad rush for one of the few remaining 'good stands' that are still in decent condition.

Students are constantly trying to tighten the stands so they aren't as wobbly and can make it through the class period.

If this project is successful, students will not only receive new stands to use in class, but they will assist with the assembly of the new stands and will also learn how to maintain the stands for the entirety of their school career at St. Paul.
