We have a wonderful group of music students at a small rural school in Indiana. Our middle and high schools are combined into the same building, and some of the classrooms and teachers are shared between both schools, including music classes! It is amazing to be able to work with students from 6th grade through 12th grade and see them progress throughout those seven years.
Our students love music, and we are so thankful for them!
Many of our students come from families with financial hardships. We never want finances to be a reason for a student to miss out on being a part of the music program. It is our hope to continue to provide them the best experience we can through music!
My Project
We are in desperate need of new music stands! The stands we have now are rusty, falling apart, and very unreliable. We have fixed them as much as we can, and they are now beyond repair.
New music stands would allow our students to focus on learning and playing music!
Students try to find the "best" stands to use, but the best ones are tilted and still unreliable. Often times putting a folder, music, and a pencil on the stand is too much weight for it to handle, and everything falls to the floor. We would be so grateful to have functional music stands!
